NONGPOH, Feb 21: The Hynniewtrep Integrated Territorial Organisation (HITO) has termed the Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) led by the NPP as the “Meghalaya Demonic Alliance”.
HITO members were speaking during an awareness programme at Iew Jirang under Patharkhmah in Ri-Bhoi for the public on the need to elect the best representatives who will prioritise the people’s interests.
President of HITO Donbok Dkhar has warned the people to carefully cast their votes.
“We have seen the various atrocities committed by this demonic government in the past five years. The incident at Mukroh, the tear gas being shot at our teachers, the Them Motor (Harijan Colony) issue, the growing unemployment amongst the educated youths, the killing of innocent people by the police, the boundary issue, scams and host of other issues,” the leaders said.
