Thousands gather to pay last respect to HDR Lyngdoh

Shillong, Feb 22: Thousands of supporters and well-wishers paid their tribute to former Minister, late HDR Lyngdoh while his body was being taken to his native place in Sohiong on Wednesday.

People were seen standing on both sides of the road right from Rangskhen to Sohiong. They were in tears while the vehicle carrying the body of the late former MLA who had represented the constituency for four terms, was rolling past them.

Several political leaders including former Minister, Renikton L. Tongkhar visited the house of late Lyngdoh at Sohiong to pay their tribute.

The former Minister died of a massive heart attack on Monday.
