TURA, Feb 21: TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee will be holding a public rally to campaign for her party candidate, Mizanur Rahman Kazi, at Rajabala in West Garo Hills on Wednesday.
Banerjee will be accompanied by party’s general secretary Abhishek Banerjee during her visit, less than a week before the Assembly elections in Meghalaya.
The TMC chief will be addressing a public meeting at Nekikona Tilapara Field at Rajabala from 1 pm to 2.30 pm.
Notably, party’s star campaigner Abhishek had earlier embarked on a two-day campaign in Garo Hills and Shillong where he held a series of public meetings, road shows and other party meetings.
The TMC chairperson, it may be recalled, had visited the hill state in December last year and January 18 this year while “pledging to oust the MDA government from power”.
Her last visit to state was on January 18 this year when she addressed the supposedly biggest-ever election rally in Meghalaya.
