BSF rescues 33 cattle heads

SHILLONG, Feb 27: The BSF along with Meghalaya Police on Sunday confiscated a total of 33 cattle crammed in three trucks from Dawki-Amlarem road in West Jaintia Hills while they were being smuggled to Bangladesh.
The seized cattle and vehicles were handed over to the police station at Dawki for further action.
Since January, alert BSF troops have seized more than 1,000 cattle from different areas of Indo-Bangla border in Meghalaya.
