Meghalaya Election Results 2023: Jowai goes to NPP

NPP: 5, UDP: 1
Sitting MLA Wailadmiki Shylla of the NPP got the better of the anti-incumbency factor to register a comfortable win in Jowai constituency over his nearest rival A Andrew Shullai of the TMC by a margin of 2,667 votes. Shylla secured 14,079 votes and Shullai polled 11,412 votes, while Moonlight Pariat of the UDP finished a close third with 10,260 votes.
