Meghalaya Election Results 2023: NPP consolidates lead in 16 seats

The ruling NPP has extended its lead in as many as 16 seats, leaving its political opponents trailing, as per the latest trend available for 45 seats out of 59.
The UDP is leading in nine seats, closely followed by the TMC, BJP and VPP with four apiece.
Congress, HSPDP and independent candidates are leading in two seats each while PDF and GNC are leading in one seat each.
Chief Minister and NPP supremo Conrad K Sangma has picked up a slender lead of 44 votes over BJP’s Bernard N Marak.
MPCC chief and Lok Sabha member, Vincent H Pala is trailing behind NPP’s Santa Mary Shylla in Sutnga Saipung seat.
UDP president and Speaker Metbah Lyngdoh is trailing behind Congress candidate Batskhem Ryntathiang in Mairang.
