Meghalaya Election Results 2023: Ruling NPP extends lead in 24 seats

The ruling NPP has further extended its lead in as many as 24 seats, leaving its political opponents trailing, as per the latest trend available for 55 seats out of 59.

The UDP is now leading in 8 seats as against 9 earlier, closely followed by the BJP and Congress with 5 each. The TMC is leading in 4 seats while new entrant VPP is ahead in 4 seats.
HSPDP lead in 2 while independent candidates lead in 3 seats. PDF still leads in one seat.

NPP boss Conrad Sangma continues to hold a slender lead over BJP’s Bernard Marak. Mukul Sangma leads in Songsak by a margin of 379 votes but trails behind two candidates in Tikrikilla — NPP’s Jimmy D Sangma , who is leading, and Rahinath Barchung of BJP.
