Shillong, March 3: The HSPDP on Friday has written to the NPP national president, Conrad K. Sangma to withdraw its support to his party.
In a letter to Sangma, HSPDP President  KP Pangniang said that the party did not authorize its two MLAs, Methodius Dkhar and Shakliar Warjri to lend support to the formation of his government as reported in the media.

“As the party we have no role in this affair. Therefore, we withdraw our support to your party with effect from Friday,” Pangngiang said.
It may be mentioned that the two HSPDP MLAs had gone to hand over their letter of support to the NPP without the consent of the party.
