Seizure
The Special Cell and Anti-Narcotics Task Force, East Khasi Hills, on Saturday apprehended a man and female near Children’s Hospital, Rynjah, and recovered from their possession 119.71 gram of heroin. According to the police, other items that were recovered from them include three mobile phones, one scooty and Rs 2,40,000 in cash.
Revocation
The Model Code of Conduct, which was enforced in Meghalaya in view of the assembly elections, has been revoked with immediate effect. This was communicated by the Election Commission of India in a letter to Meghalaya Chief Electoral Officer.
