BSF celebrates Int’l Women’s Day 2023

SHILLONG, March 7: The BSF Meghalaya celebrated International Women’s Day on the theme ‘Embrace Equity’. The celebration was marked by various activities conducted by BSF Wives Welfare Association (BWWA) Meghalaya such as cultural programme, games, Quiz competition, band display etc.
The event also showcased benefits that the women bring into this world, the vital roles played by women in the society and their achievements.
In addition, Women’s day was celebrated on the international border in East Jaintia Hills by 172 Battalion BSF Meghalaya at Umkiang during which weapons display was witnessed by students of Holly Cross Higher Secondary School, Umkiang. .
