Conrad wins vote of trust

SHILLONG, March 9: It was but a mere formality as Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Thursday sailed through the vote of confidence by voice vote in the Assembly.
Conrad moved the motion of confidence and it was taken up by the Speaker following which the House expressed confidence and faith in the government through voice vote.
The Conrad-led MDA 2.0 enjoys the support of 45 MLAs in the 59-member House.
