‘India is elated and proud’: PM Modi on RRR, The Elephant Whisperers for Oscars win

Shillong, March 13: The Oscars 2023 win for RRR and The Elephant Whispers has brought laurels for India. It is a proud moment which is being celebrated in every corner of the country.

While RRR song Naatu Naatu won the Best Original Song, Kartiki Gonsalves and Guneet Monga’s The Elephant Whisperers won Documentary short subject.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also congratulated filmmakers of both the movies.

In a Tweet, PM Modi said “Exceptional! The popularity of ‘Naatu Naatu’ is global. It will be a song that will be remembered for years to come. Congratulations to @mmkeeravaani, @boselyricist and the entire team for this prestigious honour. India is elated and proud. #Oscars.”

In another tweet, he wrote, “Congratulations to @EarthSpectrum, @guneetm and the entire team of ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ for this honour. Their work wonderfully highlights the importance of sustainable development and living in harmony with nature. #Oscars.”
