IndiGo flight diverted to Pakistan due to medical emergency

Shillong, March 13: An IndiGo flight from New Delhi to Doha was diverted to Pakistan’s Karachi due to a medical emergency.

A passenger who fell ill later died after the flight landed in Karachi.

The flight with the dead passenger onboard flew back to New Delhi after first making an emergency landing in Karachi.

Emergency landing in Pakistan was made to save the passenger but the medical team at the airport declared him dead.

The airline in a statement said, “We are deeply saddened by the news and our prayers and wishes are with his family and loved ones. We’re currently making arrangements for transferring the other passengers of the flight, in coordination with the relevant authorities”.
