NAGAPATTINAM, March 14: Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Tuesday offered prayers at the famous Velankanni shrine here, praying for peace and prosperity in Meghalaya.
Sangma, accompanied by his wife, visited the Basilica of our Lady of health.
In a tweet, he said: “The shrine is one of the most revered Catholic pilgrimages in India associated with miracles.”
“May God’s miracles of good health, peace and prosperity be bestowed on the people of our State and may His favour remain in each of our lives.”
“A great blessing to be at Shrine Basilica of Our Lady of Health…in Tamil Nadu to give thanks to the Lord for his blessings and to pray for his wisdom and guidance as I begin a new chapter serving Meghalaya,” Sangma said. (PTI)
