Dhar to review relocation of Harijans

SHILLONG, March 14: Deputy Chief Minister in-charge of Urban Affairs, Sniawbhalang Dhar will review the relocation of residents of Harijan Colony from Them Iew Mawlong.
He said the government wants to resolve the matter at the earliest.
The High Court of Meghalaya had instructed the government to resolve the issue of relocation immediately after the election.
The court asked the state government to quickly settle the matter as it was represented on behalf of the state that several parcels of land had been identified for the resettlement purpose.
