Williamnagar, March 26: The district of East Garo Hills has issued an advisory in view of the IMD weather forecast and warning over thunderstorm and lighting accompanied by heavy rainfall that is very likely at isolated places of the district.
Deputy Commissioner and Chairman of the District Disaster Management Authority, Jagdish Chelani, had issued the advisory while informing of set up of a control room with helpline numbers for emergency response, rescue and relief, etc.

Other control rooms have been set up at the headquarters of all the three C&RD blocks.
