Shillong, March 28: In addition to having a successful career in Bollywood, Priyanka Chopra is now building a name for herself in Hollywood.

She was last seen in Keanu Reeves’ Matrix 4 and has impressive international projects lined up. Also, the actress will return to Bollywood with Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa, which also stars Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif. She appeared in the music videos for Exotic ft. Pitbull and In My City before entering Hollywood.

Nevertheless, Priyanka revealed in a recent interview that she left Bollywood because she felt she had been forced into a corner. She also expressed that she was bored of politics. Speaking with Dax Shepard on his podcast Armchair Expert, Priyanka stated, “I was getting driven into a corner in the industry (Bollywood). I’ve never said anything but I’m going to tell it because you’ll make me feel safe”. People weren’t casting me, I had conflicts with people, and since I’m not very good at the game, I was kind of sick of politics and declared that I wanted a break.

She added, “This music thing gave me an opportunity to go into another part of the world, not crave for the movies I didn’t want to get but I would require to schmooze certain clubs and cliques of people. It would require groveling and I had worked a long time by then that I didn’t feel like I wanted to do it.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Priyanka has several projects in her pipeline. Along with Anthony Mackie, who plays Captain America, she is presently working on the Hollywood movie Finishing Things. In addition to this, she will appear with Sam Heughan and Celine Dion in Love Again. PeeCee will also appear in Jee Le Zaraa, a Bollywood film directed by Farhan Akhtar, alongside Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif. With Citadel, Priyanka will soon make her OTT debut.
