NONGPOH, April 3: The National People’s Party (NPP) on Monday felicitated two MLAs from Ri-Bhoi who emerged victorious in the recently concluded Assembly elections.
During the felicitation programme, which was held at Nongpoh Parish Hall, Umroi MLA Damanbait Lamare and Jirang MLA Sosthenes Sohtun were presented with mementoes as a mark of appreciation of their electoral victory.
During the programme, the newly elected MLAs expressed their gratitude to the party and assured that they will focus on the all-round development of the district with the support of the leaders and people.
Others who were part of the programme include Jirang MDC Victor Rani, Umroi MDC RR Kharbuki, NPP district president Clement Mawlong, former Umsing MLA Jason Mawlong, and party workers from the district.
