Shillong, April 5: Tech giant Apple is set to open its first-ever retail store in India. The store will be located at Jio World Drive mall in Mumbai.

Apple shared a photo of the planned store on Wednesday morning. The store attracts attention with its colourful barricade that says “Hey Mumbai.”

The store is located in a prime location of Mumbai because the Jio World Drive mall is home to several well-known international companies.

In a statement, Apple said, “Inspired by the iconic Kaali Peeli taxi art unique to Mumbai, the Apple BKC creative includes colourful interpretations of the decals combined with many Apple products and services that will be available for our customers to discover.”

“The creative for the store provides a cheery welcome to people passing by with the famous Apple greeting Hey Mumbai,” the company continues.

In order to commemorate the inauguration of the new shop, visitors will also have the opportunity to download the new Apple BKC wallpaper and a specially compiled playlist on Apple Music.

The eagerly anticipated Apple store could be thrown open this month.
