DC appeals to public ahead of Easter

Tura, April 5: Ahead of the Easter celebrations and its subsequent culmination with a picnic on Monday, the West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner has made an appeal to the general public to follow certain guidelines and advisories.

The appeal issued in this regard on Wednesday urged the public to refrain from consuming alcoholic beverages during the picnic and to stay away from river banks and huge rocks. The appeal also recommended the use of bio-degradable items instead of plastic ones as well as to desist from littering. An appeal was also made to the public to refrain from playing loud music.
