Bureaucrats reshuffled

SHILLONG, April 5: The state government on Wednesday announced a minor bureaucratic reshuffle.
Senior IAS officer Sanjay Goyal has been relieved as the Commissioner and Secretary of the Commerce and Industries Department. He has been assigned to the Power Department in the same capacity.
Senior IAS officer Vijay Kumar D. will cease to be the Commissioner and Secretary of the Soil and Conservation Department and function as the Commissioner and Secretary of the Urban Affairs Department.
Similarly, senior IAS officer Pravin Bakshi has been transferred from the Power, Urban Affairs, and Legal Metrology departments to the Education and Commerce and Industries departments as the Commissioner and Secretary. He will also cease to be the Managing Director of Mawmluh Cherra Cements Limited (MCCL).
BDR Tiwari has also been transferred from the Education Department to the Legal Metrology Department as the Commissioner and Secretary.
WAM Booth has been asked to take over as the Managing Director of MCCL in addition to her existing duties until further others.
