Baby succumbs to burn injuries in WKH village

NONGSTOIN, April 12: In an unfortunate incident, a 6-month-old baby succumbed to third-degree burn injuries after its mother, one Spailinda Nongbak of Langumshing B fell on a fireplace while carrying the baby, on Tuesday evening.
The mother, who also received third-degree burn injuries, survived and was shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong for treatment.
It is important to note here that Spailinda Nongbak has medical history of seizure disorders.
