In its ongoing drives against illicit liquor/illegal sale of IMFL/beer/wine etc, the Office of the East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner (Excise) in January conducted raids in restaurants, stalls in the town and its outskirts, and detected 60 such cases. A total of 249.480 litres of illicitly distilled liquor and 204.170 litres of IMFL were seized while 45 people were arrested in the connection.
