SHILLONG, April 18: The VPP is ecstatic over the growing support from the people, who have, in the last few months, enthusiastically created different social media groups including on WhatsApp using the party’s name.
VPP spokesperson Batskhem Myrboh, however, has advised people to ensure that due permission is obtained from the party office before creating any social media group in the name of the party. He explained that the advisory is justified since there is a necessity to maintain strict discipline within the party and also to thwart any effort by anti-party elements to create confusion or malign the image of the party.
“It is strongly expected that such unofficial social media group, if there is any, should be deleted and no new group should be created,” the VPP spokesperson said.
He also made it clear that the party will not take responsibility for any untoward incident arising due to any unofficial group.
