India announces WTC 2023 Final team; Ajinkya Rahane is back

Shillong, April 25: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced 15-member team for the eagerly awaited World Test Championship 2021–23 final with Rohit Sharma will captain.

The WTC final will be played from June 7 to June 11 against Australia at the Oval in London.

After a string of outstanding performances in domestic cricket and the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, batsman Ajinkya Rahane rejoins the team. Shardul Thakur, an all-rounder, was also chosen for the 15-man squad.

Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, K L Rahul, KS Bharat (wk), Shardul Thakur, Mohd. Shami, Mohd. Siraj, Umesh Yadav, and Jaydev Unadkat are the other members of the squad.
