Shillong, April 29:  The 39th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will take place at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata today between the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and the reigning champion Gujarat Titans (GT).

The last time these two teams faced off, Rinku Singh staged a miracle, and it’s possible that these two sides will engage in another outstanding matchup. Here is all the information you need to know about the match’s location, Eden Gardens in Kolkata, before the action starts.

The Eden Gardens pitch is renowned for being completely flat and packed with runs. In a T20 contest, 155 runs are scored in the first innings on average. However, in three IPL games played this season, the average score was 222. Having said that, the spinners might benefit from the fact that this is the first afternoon game of the season at the location.

In the previous match between KKR and GT, Rinku Singh stole the show in Ahmedabad. With five consecutive sixes in the final over, the batsman defeated Gujarat pacer Yash Dayal and produced one of the greatest run chases in IPL history. In the rematch, the Titans will aim for a more satisfying retaliation. Gujarat could move up to the top of the standings if they win the game. Kolkata, which has 6 points after 8 games, is still vying for a spot among the top four.
