Ahead of monsoon, SGH officials review preparedness

TURA, April 29: A high-level meeting was held on Friday at Baghmara in South Garo Hills to review the district’s preparedness for the southwest monsoon, which usually occurs between June and September.
South Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner S Awasthi, who chaired the meeting, highlighted the different ways and measures to minimise or avert any monsoon-induced disasters, and called upon the district machineries to stay vigilant.
