Stock Market Holiday: BSE and NSE to remain closed today

Shillong, May 1: The BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange) and NSE (National Stock Exchange) will be closed for business today, May 1, 2023, in observance of Maharashtra Day.

This indicates that there won’t be any trading today at the Indian stock market. The full Monday session, or May 1, 2023, will see no trading on the BSE or NSE in accordance with the list of stock market holidays for that month.

According to the list of stock market holidays for 2023, which is posted on the BSE’s official website, there won’t be any trading today in the equity, equity derivative, or SLB segments. The Indian stock market will also continue to have trading restrictions today in order to observe Maharashtra Day.

There will only be one trading holiday in May, and that day is today, when there won’t be any activity at the NSE or BSE, according to the list of stock market holidays falling in the month of May. The following stock market holiday will be on June 28, 2023, in observance of Bakri Id.

There will not be a stock market holiday in July of this year following Bakri Id because the celebration of Independence Day will take place on August 15th, 2023.
