EKH village benefits from BSF prog

SHILLONG, May 3: Locals in Bararyngkyu, East Khasi Hills, on Tuesday benefitted from a civic action programme, organised by the 193 Battalion of BSF Meghalaya.According to a statement here, during the programme, BSF Meghalaya distributed items such as computers, television, sports items, utensils, etc for village community centres. Items of necessity were also distributed among more than 300 villagers, including school students.
As part of the programme, an awareness campaign against drug menace was also launched to sensitise the youths.
