TURA, May 7: An employee of the BRC Office under Dalu Block in West Garo Hills has found herself in trouble over illegal collection of money.
As per revelations, one Nengchi A Sangma, who works as an Accountant under the block, had allegedly collected Rs 200 each from teachers on the pretext of enrolment of their names as vendors in the Public Financial Management System (PFMS).
Furthermore, Rs 100 each from presidents and headmaster-cum-secretaries was also collected by the employee for internet cost and Xerox, all these without the knowledge of the concerned authorities.
Meanwhile, a show cause notice has been served to her by the Block Mission Coordinator, directing her to submit a written explanation and provide a valid cause as to why action should not be taken against her.
