The Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills has invited applications for Indian Council for Child Welfare awards conferred upon children for exemplary acts of bravery every year. The main criteria for the selection of candidates is the performance of a distinct and visible act of bravery in the face of an impending threat of injury or danger to life or an act of courage and daring against a social evil/crime. Applications should reach the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills, on or before October 9. Detailed information is available at http://eastkhasihills.gov.in.
