Corrigendum
In the news item ‘Amid border talks 2.0, land-grabbing allegations surface from SWGH’, which was published on May 25 in this paper, the area where the land-grabbing attempt was made was near Chattibui market near Jongkipara outpost under Garobadha Police Station in West Garo Hills and not near Chattibui market under Monabari outpost in South West Garo Hills. The inadvertent error is regretted.
Programme
The Office of the Block Development Officer, Sohiong, will organise a programme on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao at 11 am on Friday at Madan Umsaw, Sohiong. The programme will be attended by East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner RM Kurbah as the chief guest.
