SHILLONG, May 29: Ahead of the BJP-led NDA Government completing nine years in office and in view of the MP elections next year, the BJP is going all out to woo people while giving an account of its achievements in the last 9 years.
Addressing a press conference here, Union Social Justice Minister and MP from Tripura, Pratima Bhowmik, on Monday highlighted the different developmental schemes and programmes initiated by the NDA Government at the Centre in the last 9 years.
It may be mentioned that the BJP is observing a programme from May 30 to June 30 to celebrate the 9th anniversary of the NDA Government.
Bhowmik said that more than 3.5 crore pucca houses have been constructed in the last 9 years, while 11.72 crore toilets have been constructed during the same period and various developmental activities have also been fast-tracked.
The minister also gave a presentation on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mission towards the poor, while also recalling the vaccination drive against COVID-19 in which more than 220 crores of vaccines were administered to people.
The Union minister also informed that the NDA Government has started streamlining inter-ministerial gaps while implementing large scale developmental projects throughout the country under the PM Gati Shakti infrastructural plan.
