Govt cancels meet with civil society groups

SHILLONG, May 30: The state government on Tuesday cancelled a scheduled meeting with civil society groups to discuss the reservation roster system after Garo Hills based groups declined to travel to Shillong to attend the meeting. They have demanded a separate meeting in Tura.
The meeting was scheduled to take place at the auditorium hall of Yojana Bhavan, Main Secretariat at 11.30 am on Wednesday.
