Office-bearers
The cook-cum-helpers under the Mid-Day Meal scheme organised a meeting in Jowai and formed a union, viz. Union Cook-Cum-Helpers, PM POSHAN Meghalaya (UCC-PM POSHAN, Meghalaya) in a bid to look after the welfare of the cook-cum-helpers across Meghalaya. The office-bearers of the newly formed union include Banalis Syiem as president; Jerry A Suting, Jena Nengnong and Kyntinora Wahlang as vice presidents, Mangkara Kharjamuti as general secretary, et al.

Unclaimed body
The Ri-Bhoi Superintendence of Police has informed that an unknown male body was found on Tuesday at 11 am on the roadside of NH-6 near East Cane & Bamboo Development Council, 13th Mile, Byrnihat. After completing all legal formalities, the body was shifted to the morgue room of Nongpoh Civil Hospital. The deceased is said to be approximately 5.5 ft tall, aged 40 to 45 years old, has an oval face, white beard, swarthy complexion, and was found wearing a blue pair of trousers, a black t-shirt, a brown belt and rings on his right hand. Meanwhile, all concerned having knowledge about the deceased’s identity have been asked to contact 7005298889 or 7005924932.
