Dy CM discusses pending salaries with JHADC members

JOWAI, June 16: Deputy Chief Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar on Friday held a meeting with the CEM, MDCs and officials of the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC) and discussed matters relating to the pending salaries of employees of the Council as well as the long-pending completion of the Iawmusiang Complex, Jowai.
Speaking to media persons after the meeting, Dhar, while referring to the salaries of the JHADC employees, said the government will try to generate revenue from different sectors, but the tax, which may be collected, should not affect the public.
He informed that the government is yet to decide on a specific time frame to release the salaries of the JHADC employees.
The deputy chief minister, while referring to the Iawmusaing Complex, assured that the work on the same will start after the preparation of a detailed project report (DPR).
He also said that the building will be inspected by experts before the commencement of the work.
