Unclaimed body
One male patient, identified as Levingston Kharbani (40), C/o PAB, Shillong Civil Hospital, was admitted in the CCU on June 8. The patient, however, passed away on June 20. Meanwhile, all concerned have been asked to collect the body from the hospital morgue immediately or within three days, failing which the same will be sent for disposal by the Shillong Municipal Board.

Seminar
The Meghalaya State Commission, with the support of the National Commission for Women, New Delhi, will organise a seminar on ‘Socio-Economic Status of Single Mothers’ at the State Convention Centre (Conference Room III) on June 23.

Prohibition
Following reports of land dispute between the villages of Maskut and Tyrchang in West Jaintia Hills district owing to felling of pine trees at a plot of land in Rashi Ryndem, the West Jaintia Hills Deputy Commissioner has indefinitely prohibited assembly of more than five persons in Rashi Ryndem, carrying of lethal weapons by any groups or individuals, felling of trees in the disputed area and carrying of forest products from the disputed area.
