SHILLONG, June 23: Under fire for allegedly “engineering” the downfall of the executive committee in the KHADC led by UDP, its chief ally in the MDA 2.0, the NPP on Friday treaded the reconciliatory path by reiterating its “friendship” with the party and stated that the allies will remain together till the end of the government’s tenure.
Dismissing claims by some UDP leaders that he had “engineered” the political coup in the KHADC, Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong said, “I am not even a nominated member so how can the UDP accuse me of toppling the EC.”
Refuting claims that there is a growing friction between the allies, Tynsong said, “We are together and we are all committed to completing our tenure till 2028.”
