KHLIEHRIAT, June 25: The Anti-Narcotics Task Force along with the staff of Ladrymbai Outpost on Saturday evening intercepted a vehicle (AS19E0671) near Umtyra Infiltration check gate, and seized contraband items.
Acting on tip-off, a naka was set up and the vehicle was intercepted.
A subsequent check of the vehicle led to the recovery of six soap boxes containing yellowish orange powder weighing 59.86 grams.
The recovered items were later tested positive for heroin, and subsequently seized.
In this regard, occupants of the vehicle, viz. Altab Hussain, Anwar Hussain and Pranjal Das were also arrested.
A case has also been registered at Khliehriat Police Station and investigation has been initiated to trace the backward and forward linkages.
