Heavy rainfall alert for East Khasi Hills

SHILLONG, July 2: The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a warning of extremely heavy downpour in most parts of East Khasi Hills District in the next 24 hours to be followed by heavy to very heavy rainfall till July 6.
As per the IMD forecast, thunderstorm/lightning and heavy to very heavy with extremely heavy rainfall is very likely at isolated places in East Khasi Hills on Monday and heavy rainfall is very likely at isolated places till July 6.
The IMD has also issued an alert of heavy rainfall in the five districts of Ri-Bhoi, East Jaintia Hills, South West Khasi Hills, South Garo Hills and East Garo Hills till July 6.
