SHILLONG, July 3: The KSU has demanded that the North East Institute of Ayurveda and Homeopathy (NEIAH) give preference to locals rather than employing people from outside the state.
Members of the KSU Mihngi Circle, who met the Director of the NEIAH, informed that only recently, a person from Uttar Pradesh was employed as an attendant. According to the KSU, locals should have been given preference for employment opportunities, which, the union added, has not happened in this case.
Maintaining that that jobs of people from outside Meghalaya should not be regularised, the KSU cautioned the authorities at NEIAH that it will resort to other means if the contractual attendant is not removed from the post.
