Shillong, July 4: Tina Ambani, wife of industrialist Anil Ambani and a renowned Bollywood actress, attended the Enforcement Directorate today regarding an alleged violation of foreign exchange rules. This comes a day after her husband provided his statement in the case, which is registered under various sections of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).

Anil Ambani had appeared before the central agency on Monday at Mumbai’s Ballard Estate area to record his statement in the same case. Previously, he had also appeared before the Enforcement Directorate in 2020 concerning the Yes Bank loan kickbacks case, which led to the arrest of the bank’s co-founder, Rana Kapoor.

The specific details of the case in which Ambani has appeared are yet to be confirmed.

In September of last year, the Bombay High Court granted some relief to Ambani in a Rs 420 crore tax evasion case, instructing the Income Tax department not to take any coercive action against him.
