Shillong, July 6: The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Sharad Pawar has called for a meeting of the national executive in Delhi today. In preparation for the important gathering, new posters featuring Sharad Pawar and his daughter Supriya Sule were displayed outside the party office on Firozeshah Road.

Sharad Pawar and Supriya Sule have already departed for Delhi to attend the crucial party meeting scheduled for 3 pm today. The previous posters that included Ajit Pawar and Praful Patel alongside Sharad Pawar have been taken down from the office premises.

Posters with messages such as “In the fight between truth and lies, the entire country stands with Sharad Pawar” and “India’s history has never forgiven betrayers” were observed outside Sharad Pawar’s residence in Delhi. Posters welcoming Sharad Pawar in Delhi were also placed near his office in the national capital.

Additionally, another set of posters with the word “gaddar” (traitor) written on them, targeting Ajit Pawar and Praful Patel for their rebellious actions, were put up outside the NCP office. These posters were displayed by the Rashtrawadi Vidyarthi Congress and featured a scene from the movie ‘Baahubali’.

The NCP’s internal power struggle between Sharad Pawar and his nephew Ajit Pawar intensified on Wednesday as both held separate meetings in Mumbai to demonstrate their respective strengths. The newly appointed Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra showcased the support of 31 MLAs in his faction, while 13 MLAs attended Sharad Pawar’s meeting. The numbers clearly indicate that Ajit Pawar currently has more MLAs backing him compared to his uncle Sharad Pawar.
