Shillong, July 6: Hollywood star Tom Cruise, who recently celebrated his 61st birthday, is opening up about his future in acting. As the seventh film in the ‘Mission Impossible’ series is set to release on July 12, Cruise shows no signs of slowing down and draws inspiration from Harrison Ford, according to reports from ‘Deadline’.

Cruise expressed his admiration for Ford, referring to him as a legend, and shared his aspirations to continue acting for years to come. “Harrison Ford is a legend; I hope to be still going; I’ve got 20 years to catch up with him,” Cruise stated in an interview with ‘The Sydney Morning Herald’. “I hope to keep making Mission: Impossible films until I’m his age.”

Ford recently reprised his iconic role as Dr. Henry Walton Jones in ‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny’ at the age of 80. Although he is done playing Indy on the big screen, Ford is not finished with acting. In an interview Chris Wallace, he mentioned that he loves to work and feel useful. He added, “It is the people that you get to work with. The intensity and the intimacy of collaboration… it’s the combined ambition, somehow forged from words on a page.”

Cruise, inspired by Ford’s longevity in the industry, looks forward to continuing his acting career, driven by his passion for the craft and the collaborative process.
