Shillong, July 10: Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan is ready to set the box office ablaze once again with his upcoming film ‘Jawan’. The recently released prevue for the film solidifies this fact, showcasing the superstar in a bald avatar, engaging in intense action sequences.

IANS reported that the word ‘prevue’ refers to a short advertisement featuring scenes from an upcoming movie. The two-minute and 12-second prevue begins with an aerial view of a remote area under attack by unidentified bandits, followed by scenes of chaos in a metropolitan city, where people wearing SRK’s signature mask from the film are seen rushing around. SRK’s voice-over exclaims, “Main kaun hoon kaun nahi, pata nahi” (Who am I and who am I not, I don’t know). The screen then fills with visuals of army personnel, leading to a close-up shot of SRK donning black aviators.

As the prevue reaches the 30-second mark, the pace accelerates, showcasing explosions, fights, flames, and gunshots, before finally revealing SRK’s appearance, albeit with half of his face covered by the mask.

The prevue builds further excitement as it introduces South Indian superstars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, along with Bollywood stars Sanya Malhotra and Deepika Padukone in special appearances.

The biggest surprise comes towards the end of the prevue, with SRK sporting a bald look and showcasing his dance moves to the song ‘Bekarar Kar Ke Hume Yun Na Jaaiyie’.

The prevue capitalizes on SRK’s stardom by making references to some of his iconic works, including the famous line “Naam toh suna hi hoga” from ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’ and the train sequence from ‘Ra.One’. The thrilling prevue, combined with a fantastic score by Anirudh Ravichander, promises another blockbuster that will reignite the Bollywood industry.

Filled with moments that cater to fans, the prevue leaves a lasting impact on viewers and has the potential to entice audiences to the theaters. The star-studded cast ensures the film’s success.

Directed by Atlee, ‘Jawan’ is scheduled to release on September 7, 2023.
