SHILLONG, July 13: There will be no water supply in the city and its adjoining areas on Friday and Saturday due to a sudden breakdown of the 750mm diameter C.I. Gravity Main pipe of the Greater Shillong Water Supply Scheme in Upper Shillong.
The areas to be affected include Shillong Municipal Board areas, Shillong Cantonment Board areas, Nongthymmai and Mawlai, the PHE Department said in a notification on Thursday, adding that water supply is likely to be restored by the evening of July 15.
