First-ever A’we Lantern Festival in the making

SHILLONG, July 18: Preparations for the first-ever A’we Lantern Festival are under way at Resubelpara, North Garo Hills. The festival will be held at Resubelpara Mini Stadium on November 3 and 4. The highlights of the two-day festival will be the releasing/lighting of the lanterns, food and beverages, games, music and cultural show.
The festival aims to bring people together across communities and prevailing peace and harmony in the district enabling the visitors to witness and experience the magical sight of the two-day event.
