SHILLONG, July 20: BJP national vice president M Chuba Ao has asserted that history will be created as BJP under Prime Minister Narendra Modi is marching ahead towards winning the general elections for the third time in a row. “Last time such a thing happened in 1967. We in the BJP and NDA will make it happen,” he said.
Recalling that in December 2022, the BJP made history in Gujarat when they could record as many as seven consecutive wins in the state assembly elections in a state, Ao added that by focusing solely on its new nomenclature, the Congress and other opposition parties showed only ‘rhetoric’ power and absence of any political substance.
“For us in the BJP, ‘nation’ always comes first. India, that is Bharat, is dear to us and we will keep doing our job. On the other hand, those who rejoice in criticising India both within the country and overseas and those who mock Indian culture time and again have been compelled to adopt ‘India’ as its name. It’s India’s opposition paying a tribute to Prime Minister Modi and his guiding vision for Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas for ‘New India,” he added.
