SHILLONG, July 21: The state government is determined to set up cinema halls in every district of the state, Chief Minister, Conrad Sangma said on Friday.
Sangma said the government will continue to help film makers of the state in organising film festivals to help them expose their talents. Stating that there is huge potential for film making, he lamented that the potential has not been captured.
Earlier on the day, the CM released the poster of Rapture made by renowned filmmaker, Dominic M. Sangma.
“This is another feather to Dominic’s creative hat after his first feature film, Ma.Ama won a national award and best cinematography award at the 22nd Shanghai International Film Festival in 2019,” he said in his tweet.
