‘Lariti’ replaces word ‘Shillong’ in SICPAC’s new name

SHILLONG, July 25: A state-of-the-art facility in Meghalaya, the Shillong International Centre for Performing Arts and Culture located in Mawkasiang here has been renamed to Lariti International Centre for Performing Arts and Culture.
SICPAC, as known earlier, was inaugurated in November last year. It was built at a total cost of Rs 151.33 crore with fund support of Rs 136.20 crore from the Central Non-Lapsable Central Pool of Resources approved by the DoNER Ministry and Rs 15.13 crore from the state.
